Who decides what Key Performance Indicators the Club is going to use?
In the case of a club run by a particular organisation e.g. BSRIA, or a Trade Association, the Key Performance Indicators are defined by the administrator within that organisation in consultation with its members.
The KPIs for the Highway Works and Design Clubs, for example, are chosen by the committee as being representative of the types of measures of common interest to all the members.
The KPIs for an In-house benchmarking club would probably be chosen by the board of directors in consultation with the Managers of each business unit.
A Benchmarking club could also choose to use one of the pre-defined sets of Headline KPIs such as the Construction Industry KPIs or the Construction Consultants KPIs only, or in addition to KPIs chosen specifically for the Club.

Who sets the Benchmarking Club benchmarks?
Initially the Club Committee agrees the target for each measure in the absence of any previously collected data.
Over time the Best Performer in the Club provides the Benchmark for the rest of the members.

What is a Benchmarking Club?
